You know how we never know what *really* happens behind the scenes? But it’s usually the juiciest part?
Well today I am so excited to share my very own personal “behind the scenes” where The Hubs and I share, how we met, how we live and basically answer just about anything you ever wanted to know on how we organize our day to day life so that our marriage can be strong, happy and fun.
We were so honored to be one of the couples interviewed for The Loveumentary , a truly inspiring project that focuses on sharing the stories of ordinary people and their extraordinary love. I am absolutely in love with the project and the inspiring people behind it, Nate and Melissa.
I interviewed them on the blog last year and their interview is consistently among the top 10 most read posts I have ever published, because they are so inspiring. You can check out the first and second part of their interview here and here.
My favorite interviews feel like overhearing a conversation among friends, this interview is like a visit into our home, sitting around our dinner table and sharing from the heart.
Warning – there is a lot of laughter in this conversation and we are completely candid. We are both very practical but also ooey-goey, lovey-dovey.
We don’t hold back discussing everything from how we started going out, how The Hubs proposed, to what we do to every day to stay connected all the way through to the best and hardest parts of being married.

You can also visit the Loveumentary page for the interview here, where they have a nifty list of highlights and shownotes for further reference.
One of the reasons I am so excited to share this interview is that when I was growing up, I didn’t personally know anyone who was happily married. I had no role models. Because I had no role models, I didn’t know if it was actually possible to have a happy marriage.
This is my invitation to you to experience what happy marriage sounds like – whether you are in one right now or want to create one.
And if you know someone who needs to hear real people, talking about the ins and outs of real life love, please share this interview. It might be the spark they need to believe it’s possible for them too.
