Hello My Modern Married Friends!
I am so excited to share this interview with Stacey Hall with you today. Stacey wrote one of my all-time favorite books, Attracting Perfect Customers: The Power of Strategic Synchronicity and that book is one of the reasons YOU are reading this article today!
They have a beautiful concept in the book about approaching your business like a light house. A clear light that ships can follow in the dark. The light doesn’t move and the light shines brightly so the ships can find it. That idea resonated deeply with me when I read the book and as I started writing articles and sharing my message about modern married love, I always kept that in mind.
Some of the things I teach go against conventional wisdom but that’s okay because if you want exceptional results and a five star marriage, then conventional ideas won’t get it done. Extraordinary ideas will!
I got to “meet” Stacey in a Facebook group where we had a great conversation about another favorite book, The Four Agreements.
It is an honor and a true delight to have her visiting our electronic pages today! I hope you enjoy this interview and are even more inspired by it than I am!
Tell us about yourself in 5 sentences…

Tell us about your latest project…
Recently, a friend shared with me that she was getting uncomfortable because the balance in her bank account was getting too close to empty for comfort. I replied that was a wonderful place to be. And then apologized because I made an assumption that she knew something I learned years ago.
As I shared what I had discovered about how financial prosperity is manifested, I realized it’s been too long since I taught the secrets I learned years ago. And they are some of the best-kept secrets which have been hidden in plain sight.
So, I now facilitate my free Prosperity Secrets 5-Day Challenge Groups in which I share these secrets.
I want everyone to know these Divine secrets which will transform your relationship to money and prosperity.
One of my favorite management principles is “Stop, Start, Keep” the idea is that there are things we should stop doing, start doing and keep doing that will make us successful. What should we “stop, start, and keep” to make our relationships stronger?
1. Stop making assumptions.
2. Start asking more questions before getting angry.
3. Keep agreements and acknowledge when we have broken an agreement, apologize, ask for forgiveness and request to make a new agreement.
Complete these sentences:
The secret to a happy marriage is…being aligned at the core of we are.
What I know is true about love is…when trust and respect grow, the love grows along with it.
The single most important thing we can do for the person we love is…listen and respond in the ways they want to feel respected.
The biggest myth about marriage is…that it’s not “playing house.”
I create a life I love by…appreciating what I have and being optimistic about how it will grow and improve.
What is your favorite inspirational quote about love or marriage?
And when He desired to manifest grace and beneficence to men, and to set the world in order, He revealed observances and created laws; among them He established the law of marriage, made it as a fortress for well-being and salvation, and enjoined it upon us in that which was sent down out of the heaven of sanctity in His Most Holy Book.
(Bahá’u’lláh, Bahá’í Prayers, p. 104)
What is the best piece of advice you ever got? How did you use it?
To remember that my husband does not process information the same way so be patient in conversations to prevent arguments.
What do you know is true about love?
When trust and respect grow, the love grows along with it.
What is your favorite thing about being married?
Having a relationship with another human being who knows me deeply and vice versa…and we have each others’ back.
What has surprised you the most about marriage?
No surprises. I was older when I got married and knew exactly what qualities I wanted in my marriage partner. I created a Strategic Attraction Plan and he matched it exactly.
How do you stay connected to your spouse?
We have agreements with each other…like we will both be off the computer at 9:00 p.m. so we can spend quality time with each other.
We talk a lot on this blog about re-defining marriage – can you share something you and your spouse do that makes sense for you (but may not make sense to someone else)?
Early on, we agreed that we had different interests in terms of activities. So, we discuss daily what each of us will be doing so there are no secrets.
What is the most surprising thing you have discovered through your work?
That people are more afraid of success than they are of failure.
