If you have ever had one of those moments where you asked “why does it have to be so hard?”
The job, the kids, the hubby, the to do list, etc.
Then this post is for you.
I have had thousands of those moments. And this post is for me too.
Master Coach Brooke Castillo taught me that my circumstances do not define my happiness.
My thoughts about my circumstances do.
She taught me, to look at my mind, my life and my thoughts differently.
Sometimes it’s as simple as stopping. Listening to the thought I am having. And choosing another one.
For me, because I can be a late bloomer and a stubborn Cuban girl from Miami, sometimes it takes 5 new thoughts before I feel any relief.
So “This is hard.” becomes “I choose easier today.” “I am going to look at this differently.” “Lean into easier.” “Breathe.” or “I can do this.”
I can do this. I can handle this. I got this. <- Various versions of that thought usually bring me relief.
With relief comes clarity.
Once I have clarity, I am unstoppable.
Over the course of the last few years I have transitioned from thinking on a regular basis “Life is hard.” to “I love my life.”
I have learned to love my life – on purpose.
And I feel like the person who designed touch screens and pinch and zoom technology must have felt with the first protoype:
“The whole world should have this!”
So when my coaching-rockstar and beloved friend CJ from http://cjcoaches.com asked me about starting a Podcast to teach people how to “Think like you mean it,” I jumped up and down and said “YES!” I think I practically squeeled yes!
I am so excited to say we have joined together to teach what we have learned. For free. To anyone who wants to listen.
We have created a podcast called “Life Coach Jam” where we provide tools and reminders for the microscopic shifts that, over time, cause the soulquakes of love, peace and clarity that transform our lives. One thought, once choice, one moment at a time.
To be notified when you can subcribe on Itunes, just type your name and email in the lovely “Email Updates” box.
UPDATE! The Podcast is now live on iTunes. Click Here to be magically transported to our iTunes Preview Page.
To love your life on purpose, think a new thought.
Is there a thought that brings you relief like my “I can handle this?”
Please share in the comments. I love the idea of building a library of power thoughts we can all use when we have a “hard” moment.
