EPISODE #29 – Releasing the Need to Be Right – with Dr. Melissa Parsons
On this episode of The Marriage Life Coach Podcast, one of my previous marriage coaching clients, Dr. Melissa Parsons, shares her experiences of being coached, the effect it had on her marriage, and where she is now.
Melissa has been a pediatrician in Columbus, Ohio for the past 20 years with a very successful practice. Even so, she wasn’t enjoying her marriage as much as she knew she could and she decided to change that.
In the episode, we talk about the importance of releasing the need to be right even when it’s hard, and letting go of the need to be in control. We also chat about changing the way you fight so fights bring you and your spouse closer together instead of father away. And, Melissa shares some of my favorite books that I have clients read and what she got out of them.
We also laugh a lot. And have fun. Because we can do hard things with love and joy. Even when the things we are dealing with can feel heavy, we can bring lightness to them and it is my highest intention that you can experience that and see that in this interview.
